Class Descriptions

Beach Yoga

Meet us on Palm Beach just south of Charley’s Crab restaurant. Bring a towel and come and enjoy this paradise we live in! This practice is weather-permitting and offered in season only. Please inquire to book your own class or check our current offering times.

Open to all levels.

Blissful Flow

Enjoy a fun and relaxing flow that gently invites the body, heart and mind to open. This class will leave you feeling ready to flow through the rest of your day. Bliss.

Open to all levels.

Devotional Flow/Meditation

Consider this your evening prayer. You will begin by aligning your attention with your heart’s deepest desire to know true peace. A simple yet deep flow of postures will begin to open your body, heart and mind. This sacred time ends with a long relaxation and guided meditation. Heaven.

Open to all levels.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga is a class designed to create breath awareness, enhance balance, and increase flexibility. The quiet and slow pace of this class allows students to deeply stretch and hold each posture. Gentle Yoga is a compassionate practice to dissolve both physical and emotional tensions.  Class includes mindfulness meditation practice.

Open to new and experienced students looking to rejuvenate and relax.

Meditation

True Meditation is not a state or goal, but is an abidance in effortless consciousness. As you learn to rest in Awareness you become free of the mind’s constant fluctuations. Come and experience the possibility of an open and compassionate receptivity to all things as your natural way of being. Meditation classes are offered by donation.

Open to all.

Monthly Retreats, Workshops, Lectures and Mindful Gatherings

Offered throughout the year. Please inquire as to all Parasutra has to offer. Metta.

Namastamy

After taking a hiatus following the birth of her twins, Amy will bring the lessons she has learned as a mother of three (the lessons keep coming!) to her teaching. Come and experience a flowing and energetic form of yoga that will transform your body and mind. With uplifting music and expert guidance you can greet the day refreshed and rejuvenated.

Open to all levels but best for more experienced students.

Open Hips, Open Heart

Immerse yourself in this afternoon of heart opening flow. You will be guided through a perfect sequencing that opens the heart and mind, while preparing the body for deeper work. You will then continue with a series of deep hip openers and a sweet closing relaxation. Bliss.

Open to all levels.

Open Vinyasa Flow

Steeped in the Ashtanga tradition, postures are synchronized with the breath and then linked together in a powerful flow. The emphasis is on breath, alignment and freedom. Promoting strength, flexibility, mindfulness and expansiveness.

Open to all levels, yet not a beginner’s class.

Private Instruction

Private instruction is always available and is a good place to begin your practice as well as being very helpful in making some shifts in your current practice. One on One time can help bring you to a new level of understanding, focus and commitment.

Available in studio, at the beach or in your home.

Slow Flow/Restorative

Keeping the emphasis on breath and alignment, we maintain the Vinyasa principles and simply slow down the flow. The class closes with a restorative practice and deep relaxation.

Open to all levels.

The Great Wall

The entire flow of this class utilizes working with the wall as a means to build strength, focus, responsiveness and relaxation. The wall is also a great tool for learning or refining more challenging postures. Enlivening, challenging and deeply relaxing.

Open to all levels.

Vinyasa Flow/Meditation

An invigorating yet meditative vinyasa flow. Postures are synchronized with the breath while using intelligent alignment to build strength and flexibility. Class closes with deep relaxation, pranayama and a short guided meditation.

Open to all levels, but not a beginner's class.

Yin/Yang Immersion

The principle of Yin and Yang is the foundation of the entire universe. It underlies everything in creation. As a practice it reminds us that all of life is in relationship.

Yin Yoga is a practice of long held, passive poses as a means to stimulate the chi flow and nourish the organic system. The practice unfolds during a dharma talk where spiritual teachings are shared. This is followed by a fluid and strong active practice and closes with Meditation. Come and find balance in unconditional presence.

Open to all yet most appropriate for experienced practitioners.

Yin Yoga/Dharma Talk

Yin Yoga is a practice of long held, passive poses as a means to stimulate the chi flow and nourish the organic system. The practice unfolds during a dharma talk where true spiritual teachings are shared. We close with Meditation where you are guided to open to the abiding Awareness that is always present.

Open to all levels.
